What is the Dynamic Global ETF Trading Service:

  1. Trading strategies across ALL asset classes – Sector, International, Commodity, Currency, Real Estate, and Fixed Income – so that you own the top funds in each asset class at all times.
  2. At least weekly we will electronically deliver you a PDF with our trading recommendations, along with an explanation of our trades and market commentary.
  3. Whenever our quantitative model detects actionable momentum from any sector or fund, you will get a recommendation from us – again, delivered electronically – to make a trade.
  4. In addition, email recommendations whenever we determine based on a fundamental analysis of our ETF universe that you should make a trade.
  5. Trading Strategies across ALL asset classes: Sector, International, Commodity, Currency and Real Estate.
  6. Minimum of 52 Weekly portfolio updates.

The Dynamic Global ETF Service is a two-step approach to trading and investing:

Step 1: A quantitative model selects ETFs with the greatest relative strength from a broad universe of funds that includes alternative and non-traditional asset classes like commodities, currencies and foreign real estate.

Step 2: Using his years of experience in the investment world, Don Dion uses fundamental, non-quantitative analysis to determine the optimal asset allocation for a Dynamic Global ETF portfolio.

We have an established track record in the field of ETF investing.
Don Dion began publishing the ETF Momentum Tracker in January of 2006. The ETF Momentum Tracker newsletter had an annualized return of 26.6 percent in 2007 according to the Hulbert Financial Digest, a publication that tracks the performance of 180 financial newsletters, and it was a 2007 top-ten performer according to Peter Brimelow of CBS’s MarketWatch.com.

Don Dion also publishes the ETF Report - a more in-depth monthly newsletter for longer-term investors interested in a fundamental approach to ETFs. The ETF Report tracks more than 260 ETFs and publishes original in-depth research and analysis each month.

WHY ETFs?
The unique qualities of ETFs are what make them perfect for an active trading strategy like the Dynamic Global ETF Service. First of all, ETFs trade throughout the day on the secondary market, just like a stock, whereas a mutual fund trades just once, at the end of the day. Because of this, ETFs are better suited to the active investor.

ETFs generally carry lower expense ratios than actively-managed mutual funds. For long-term investors, there may also be some tax advantages to holding an ETF instead of a mutual fund, since the capital gains distributions from ETFs tend to be lower than mutual funds. Since the Dynamic Global ETF Service is an active trading strategy, however, these features of ETFs are less important for subscribers to our service.

The principal difference, however, is that most ETFs are passively managed. In other words, ETFs are designed to track the performance of an underlying index. With a mutual fund, by contrast, you actually have a person at the helm making the day-to-day investment decisions for the fund.

The ART and SCIENCE of Investing
There is both an art and a science to investing, and what we have done with the Dynamic Global ETF Service is combine the two into a system that anyone with an email account can follow. It’s a system designed for aggressive investors who are looking to outperform the market over the long term.

Our algorithm selects the ETFs with the greatest relative strength, and then we use fundamental analysis to tell you how to allocate your assets among those various funds.

Message from Don Dion
One of the best parts of the work I do is helping people achieve their financial objectives, whether that’s allowing someone to retire securely, pay for a child’s or grandchild’s college education, or leave a legacy for their family. Financial security is something we all spend so much of our lives working towards. I have been fortunate enough to help many of my clients and subscribers get there.

The growth in the ETF universe really presented us with a new opportunity to do something we had never been able to do before. ETFs are easy to trade and give you the instant diversity of a mutual fund. In addition—and I think this is key—they provide easy access to those alternative and nontraditional asset classes that retail investors have had difficulty accessing before.

I’ve been managing money for 10 years using both a fundamental approach and momentum research to inform my decisions. More recently, I’ve offered my newsletter subscribers a pure momentum strategy in my newsletters the ETF Momentum Tracker and the PowerShares Momentum Tracker. This is the first time I’ve truly merged the two. Our momentum algorithm will determine the funds to invest in, but I will devise what I believe is the right overall allocation mix. We think it’s going to be such an effective approach to investing that I wanted to make it available as a disciplined, consistent system that others can follow. We think this is really the best of both worlds.

All models and tables presented in this publication are the product of Fidelity Independent Adviser Newsletter, LLC (FIAN), an independent company operated by Donald R. Dion, Jr., President of Dion Money Management, LLC (DMM), a registered investment adviser that manages assets for individuals, families, trusts and non-profit organizations.

The Fidelity Independent Advisor is completely independent of and not affiliated with Fidelity Investments, Charles Schwab or TIAA-CREF.

The model performance returns are compiled by Fidelity Independent Adviser from historical returns of a determined mix of selected mutual funds or exchange-traded funds based upon investment strategies. These results include the reinvestment of all dividends and capital gains.

Performance totals deduct Dion Money Management’s highest quarterly fee since inception, which has ranged from 0.4375 to 0.5 percent. As of May 1, 2008, portfolio net returns have been reduced by Dion Money Management’s highest fee, 0.4500% per quarter.

No representation is made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown, and there are frequently significant differences between hypothetical performance results subsequently achieved by following a particular strategy.

Model trading does not involve financial risk, and no model trading record can completely account for the impact of financial risk associated with actual trading. Other factors related to the markets in general or the implementation of any specific trading strategy that can adversely affect actual trading results cannot be fully accounted for in the preparation of model performance results.

The volatility of the S&P 500, Wilshire 5000, Russell 2000, Dow Jones and Nasdaq indices may be materially different from that of the client's account, the securities holdings of which may differ significantly from those of the indices.

The indices' results shown reflect reinvestment of dividends unless otherwise noted. These indices have not been selected to represent appropriate benchmarks to compare the clients' performance, but rather are disclosed to allow for comparison of the client's performance to that of well-known, widely recognized indices.

Investments in securities, both generally and in the context of the investment strategies available through the Dynamic Global ETF Service, involve various risks, including but not limited to systemic, business, credit, and regulatory risk, as well as the potential for loss of principal.  Investors should be aware that not all strategies recommended in the Dynamic Global ETF Service will necessarily be suitable for them and that certain strategies may expose them to potential losses.  Before investing, consider all investment objectives, risks, charges and expenses applicable to the funds.

Although efforts are made to create and maintain a universe of ETF funds that represents the broadest array of sectors, regions, and asset classes, the selection criteria may overlook an ETF during the review process.  Due to the rapidly expanding universe of ETFs, there is a possibility that our universe will not include newer ETFs or other high-performing ETFs from time to time. Also, our quantitative model is subject to change based on our analysis of what we believe is best suited for varying market conditions, and fundamental decisions may reduce or increase exposure to funds regardless of their subsequent performance, potentially creating more or less diversification or concentration.
